Welcome!

 

My name is Sarah J. Bradley, and I'm an author.  That means that I may look completely normal to the outside world, but in my head are worlds and characters and stories that are anything but normal.  Writing is my escape, my therapy, and my passion.  I'm more than overjoyed to be able to share it with others.

 

I'm a life-long Midwestern girl, grounded in traditinal values.  But I'm also a student of life, an observer.  I am facinated by people, places, and stories that are not my own.  I believe we could all have our own beliefs, lifestyles, and values and still live peacefully as a society...if we would stop taking ourselves so seriously.

Life is hard enough without everyone getting into some sort of social media war.  I believe if we ignored the shrieking of politicians and others who are determined to make us see our differences as evils, and instead looked at ourselves and each other and found joy and laughter, this would be a better world.

 

I've been writing and telling stories since I was a small child, but I didn't think of writing as a career until I was in my early teens and started my first novel, a book that eventually became "Lies in Chance," which will probably always be my favorite novel of the ones I've written.

 

I'm a self published author, an independent author, a free thinker when it comes to my characters and my stories.  I revel in the freedom of e-publishing because it's given unknown authors like me a place to tell our stories.  My dream is to some day support myself and my family with my writing.

 

I write under a couple different names.  If you're looking for romantic suspense, you'll want my "Sarah J. Bradley" books.  If you're looking for humor, for a view of every day life that's a bit skewed, or for workplace tales that are entirely too painfully true and hilarious, you'll want to read my "Sarah Jayne Brewster."  And, if you're looking for cozy mysteries with a faith-based point of view, take a look my books under the name, "S. J. Bradley."
